The Holidays

I love this time of year...it's my absolute favorite!!!! We finally experience the fall colors on our trees....it's cold outside...the lights on people's houses...the smell of fresh Christmas trees....Christmas trees period....Christmas candles illuminating...Chrismas music and movies all around...time off from everything...good food....presents...time with loved ones, etc. And best of all....our SAVIOR breaking the silence after so many years and coming to save us as a humble babe! And He came b/c He is GOOD and He is LOVE so His plan and will are strictly FOR US...Hallelujah! The only thing that I hate about this time of year is that I conveniently put on 10lbs and hate it! God help us all! :) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year bloggers!!!! Joy, Peace, Love, and Hope to all! He loves you so! He came for you!
Something to do with your tree this year....After you take it down, cut all the branches off and just take the trunk. Then cut it into a cross shape, tie the 2 pieces together and then keep it up as a cross until Easter to remind you that He came at Christmas so He could die for YOU on Easter! Amen!

Israel

I recently returned from Jerusalem and it was AMAZING!!!! I know I have been away long but it's late and I'm tired so I'm not going to write and describe but rather post here what may seem like a lot of pics but are really only a few (compared to the 600 that I took) from the trip! We will all live there some day...AMEN! Happy Holidays!!!! :)

The Bird

This morning I had a little extra time before i had to be at work so I decided to enjoy a cup of coffee on my porch with my puppy Linus. As I was watching him play, and watching my backyard Blue jay chase the cardinal away from the feeders, a fuzzy rock caught my eye (or so I thought.) I was tempted ot go check it out when Linus headed over there to do it for me. Slowly he inched his way towards this "fuzzy rock" when all of the sudden he was finally sniffing it and this rock jumped! I made my way over to see what it was and it was a baby sparrow that was trying to fly from it's nest but was not quite able to just yet. He had fallen and oculdn't get up! I inspected him to make sure all was well and he seemed fine. After nearly squeezing him to death, out of sheer excitement that I was holding a wild baby bird, I gently placed him ontop of our trampoline and then watched him fly from there and right into the fence. He was Ok htough. He just decided to chill there for awhile. I walked away with a smile in my heart. I remembered where God told us in Matthew 6 that He takes care of the birds of the air so He will take even more care of us. Wow! So today, know you are loved! And take some time to just sit with Jesus! And I also encourage you to study John 15 and get back with me. Good stuff! So long.... :)

Release your burden

Tired of juggling all the hats and jobs we're suppost to wear? Listen to this....Matthew 11:28-30: "Come to ME, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Be yoked to Jesus. His way may seem harder but it really is easier! Such joy and peace and rest. Latch on! :) Man I needed to hear this after my crappy day at work!

Loving your enemies

This week's reading....Luke 6:25-36. Memorization: Luke 6:35 - "But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked."
Tell me what you think.....It speaks volumes to me. Now this is what I call dying to my flesh. But we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us...praise the Lord! :)
