The Shack

So I just finished reading the book, The Shack, by William P. Young. It is a must read if you care what I have to say. It is non-conventional so stick with it and the story comes together and paints you a beautiful picture of heaven on earth! I couldn't put it down! If you read it, write me and tell me what you thought. It's amazing! :) I'm sad it's over!

Hey! Brock and I bought it in South Africa on the way home.. he is reading it now then I'm next!!

From what I know.. this is a GREAT book for people struggling to have a relationship with the Lord and knowing what that looks like. On the other hand, Brock said that at times it personifies the Lord and humanity as almost looking equal-- although I doubt that was intentional in the writing, it can come off that way.

So there is my two cents-- anyone else?

Yes, much controversy, but it is a work of fiction, keep that in mind. So it is not entirely theologically sound, but yet paints such a sweet picture of the love of Jesus! Thats my 2 cents! Thanks Megs! :)

Exactly!! But for new believers especially it is just important they understand that theologically it isn't perfect, but other than that it is such a PERFECT illustration of what our relationship with Jesus should look like!! I can't wait to read it! And my mom got it too! :)
